The program is open to Homeless Veterans living on the street, shelters or transitional housing and those who are at-risk of homelessness who are interested in improving their skills and becoming employed and self-supporting.

Services:

  • Housing referrals will be made for those who need a place to live.
  • Vocational assessment identifies skill levels and possible careers of interest.
  • Career counseling can identify roadblocks to employment, make referrals to resources and training and assist you with the job search.
  • Computer Training will help you bring your skills up to date so that you may better compete in today’s electronic workplace.
  • Electronic Labor Market Information Training can help you identify a career and find a job.
  • Job Readiness Training teaches you to write a resume and post it online, interview well and learn the latest electronic job search techniques.
  • Support Service may be available to assist you with transportation, work clothing, tools or other work-related expenses.
  • Referrals to the VA for benefits will be made for those who may be eligible for a wide variety of financial benefits. We will also assist you in determining what other benefits you may be qualified to receive.
  • Job Development and Placement Services are offered to all Veterans at no cost.


Eligibility:

Veterans must be “Other than Honorable” or above.  Proof of Veteran status and eligibility (DD214) and current ID and Right to Work documentation required.
