Target Audience
Individuals undertaking the A+ certification track and companies who need technical staff trained in the A+ exam track. In the VetWORKS program we are seeking individuals who have IT experience and may occasionally grant access to A+ training. Most participants will receive training at a higher level than A+.
Prerequisites
Candidates should have the knowledge required to understand the fundamentals of computer technology, networking, and security. They should be able to identify hardware, peripheral, networking, and security components. They should also understand the basic functionality of the operating system and basic troubleshooting methodology.

Certification Exams
Two exams are required:
- 220-701 A+ Essentials.
- 220-702 A+ Practical Application.

“Hands On” Training
All students are expected to complete a list of tasks related to basic computer operation, assembly, and troubleshooting. These practice exercises add practical experience and application to online training before taking the exams.
